Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the best suspension setup for my Restomod build?
It depends on your goals. Coilovers offer performance, adjustability, and better road feel, while air suspension provides ride height adjustability and a smoother ride. We offer both and can help you choose based on your project.
What’s the difference between air suspension and coilovers?
Air suspension uses air springs and allows ride height adjustability, ideal for slammed or show builds. Coilovers use steel springs and dampers, offering consistent performance and adjustability for street or track driving.
Do your suspension kits work with factory frames?
Many of our kits are designed to bolt onto factory frames. For extreme drop or performance applications, you may need minor frame modifications or aftermarket crossmembers.
Can I run coilovers with drop spindles or lowering blocks?
Yes — but it depends on the setup. Drop spindles can lower your stance without affecting ride quality, while coilovers allow fine-tuning. We recommend using one or the other for most builds to avoid travel loss.
What’s included in your suspension kits?
Most kits include control arms, coilovers or air springs, brackets, and necessary hardware. Some full kits also include sway bars, trailing arms, or notches. Check each product page for full details.
What ride height can I expect with your suspension kits?
Ride height varies by application. Coilovers typically allow 1–4” of adjustability. Air ride kits can go from stock height to full drop, depending on the frame and tire clearance.
Do I need to notch my frame for your suspension kits?
If you’re lowering your vehicle more than 4” in the rear, a C-notch is usually required for axle clearance. Some kits include the notch or offer it as an add-on.
Do you offer suspension kits for specific vehicles like C10s or F100s?
Yes! We offer complete front and rear suspension solutions for popular platforms like Chevy C10, Ford F100, and Tri-Five Chevys. Visit our vehicle-specific pages or contact us for help.
Can I install your suspension kits at home?
Some kits are bolt-in and DIY-friendly with basic tools. Others, like full air suspension kits, may require welding or fabrication. We recommend professional installation for best results.
Do I need an alignment after installing your suspension kit?
Yes — any time you change your ride height, control arms, or suspension geometry, a professional alignment is necessary to ensure proper handling and tire wear.
